Now that Walker is spending Tuesday and Thursday mornings in preschool, Charlie and I have some time to be together on our own. It also means that I have more time for house cleaning, laundry and even (gasp) a little self care! So, in honor of this new free time, I made a little video of me and Charlie hanging out. The voice and action are totally out of sync, but you'll get the idea.

Clang Clang Clang
On Sunday, we all headed down to McKinney Avenue for a family ride on the Trolley! Walker has missed his dear trolley, having been away from Dallas since the beginning of May. The highlight of the trip was when the conductor asked Walker if he'd like to ring the trolley bell. Whoooo, whooooo!

First Day of School
It's been a big day in the Greenman house! Today is Walker's first day of school. He was, of course, very excited to show off his new book bag, which was provided by his school. When we arrived at school he noted that "all the kids have the same bag!" Very cool. Here's our baby off to his first day of preschool.
Walker was met at his classroom door by his teacher, Ms. Carolyn. She asked him to find the name tag with his name. He did this promptly and was instructed to hang his book bag on the hook with his name, which he also did promptly. Then he turned to me, saluted (military style) and said "See you later Mom." Ms. Carolyn gave me the thumbs up and a smile and I took that as my cue to leave. I couldn't do so, however, without taking a few photographs on my way out. Here is Walker getting busy in his classroom.

Picnic at the Arboretum
Another gorgeous day here in Dallas. While Jack was at work,
Pa John and I took the boys to the Arboretum for a picnic!
Walker found a row of Magnolias!
In his arms is a pile of sticks. He was hoping to make a fire.
Probably my favorite shot EVER of Walker and my Dad.
Charlie loved swinging his feet in the flowers.
He also loved reaching out and snatching the flower heads from the stems!
Walker shows off his new shoes for school!!!!
