Memorial Day Fun

Jack had quite a bit of the day off so we headed out for a visit to the local coffee shop. Then we discovered that there was a celebration happening at city park. Bounce houses, hot dogs, cotton candy, balloon bending and more! After a morning out, we returned home for naps and some art-making.  Charlie slept while Walker spent some time at the table with his paint set.

His First Cowboy Hat

Today, while visiting a shoe and hat shop in Springdale, Walker noticed this child sized cowboy hat and fell madly in love. It was on sale, so we said yes. Any boy born in the great state of Texas needs a cowboy hat, right?

Tent Time

The next door neighbor boy and Walker made a tent in the front yard this morning!  Here they are with another friend, Hannah, enjoying the fruits of their labor.  (Of course they had a little help from a mommy.)

Walker at Charlie's Age

Walker is the same age in this photo as Charlie is right now.  And another piece of trivia... Charlie is as old as Walker was when Charlie was born.  How 'bout them apples?

New Neighbors

The best thing so far about our new place in Cedar City is the neighbors.  We're in a duplex and share a wall with a sweet family of five who happen to have a wonderful four-year-old boy named Braeden. This boy is the perfect playmate for Walker and they have spent the majority of the past three days together. Today, I snapped some shots of the boys playing in the front yard. Then tonight, the neighbor across the street invited both of our families over to feed their lambs.  The kids LOVED it. Walker got a big kick out of bottle feeding the babies and Charlie was also very interested!

Saturday in Cedar City

Today Jack had the morning and afternoon off!  I love it when the rehearsal call Gods look kindly on our little family. So we took the kids out for a day in the sun. There was a soap box car race on Main Street, the new city park had its grand opening and we finished the day with ice cream.  Here's the evidence:
