Splash Parks, Snakes and Storms

Big day today! No baby yet... but we did have a wonderful morning at a nearby splash park. Walker split his time between the swings and the splashing:

After a nice nap, Walker and I decided to pull out an art project. In case it's not obvious... he's painting a toy snake. I'll post a video of his painting process later. So definitely check back!

A few days ago, I mentioned that Thanksgiving dinner sounded good. What can I say? I'm a pregnant ball of cravings and for some reason, turkey and pie sounded REALLY good. So, Betsy and Connie - being my mamas - meaning they love me and will do anything for me - whipped up a little Thanksgiving meal.

Just before sitting down to our feast, a storm swept through and cooled off all of Dallas. Here are our funny ducks hanging out in the rain in our front yard.

And finally, here is a photo of my baby belly from a few days back. Can't wait to meet this kiddo... I'm now past due and hoping that we can some post some baby photos in the next few days! So cross your fingers!

Walker's Tiny Baby

Walker asked this morning, if I would swaddle his baby doll. When I asked him his baby's name he said, "Tiny Baby". Then we decided that his "tiny baby" needed a sling. He's a natural!

And here are two shots of the adults (I use this term loosely) out to dinner last night at "The Grape" on Lower Greenville in Dallas. Thank you to Abbey and John who agreed to watch Walker last night with very short notice!

Cake Ball Baby

Yesterday, I made a round of red velvet cake balls for the upcoming arrival of baby number two. Walker was insistent that he try one out, so after dinner, we let him have "just one". Gramie Betsy caught these delectable moments on camera!

And here are the mamas making dinner...
I'm the luckiest girl in the world!

Midwife Appointment

We had a check up with our midwife yesterday. The whole family went to listen in on Baby Greenman. All looks well and healthy. While we were there, Grandma Betsy snapped these photos. Here are Walker's infant foot prints on the wall of the birth center. He was 10 days old when these were done.

Walker really likes the toy ice cream set in the clinic room:

Betsy took this shot while I was chatting with my midwife.

Back in the water!

Happy birthday Uncle Gil! We spent the day trying to keep cool in various pools of water. At first, we stayed home and splashed around in our kiddie pool - but in the evening we headed off to the "big pool" for some serious swimming. Here are some shots from the day!

And Team Greenman is still waiting for baby... luckily we have a little wine to pass the time! We have a midwife appointment tomorrow, so we'll have a chance to measure and listen in on baby Greenman.

Want to hear Baby's heart tones? Click the arrow... Last night we pulled the doppler wand out of the birth kit and had a listen. Isn't technology wonderful?

Daddy Turns 45!

Happy happy birthday to Jack! Walker was very excited to give daddy his birthday present. He was also very excited to try it on!

And for good measure - a few pool photos. We dragged the kiddie pool into the front yard so we could splash in the shade. So much nicer than the direct sun in the back yard. Jack was also watering the lawn, which led some sprinkler fun.
