Wheeee!

Today was a relaxed day in Cedar City for the Greenman Family. Jack only had about 5 hours worth of work and the summer weather provided some nice outside playtime.  We also found time to have some frozen yogurt and take pictures of Charlie's crazy hair upon waking from his nap. Tonight, Betsy, Jack and I are headed out for dinner sans kids. A great day!

Gramie is here!!!

Betsy arrived today from Seattle and will be staying with us for the next week. Walker was so excited to have her here that he went a little crazy. When I asked him to calm down, he said, "I can't stop by body because I'm just too excited."  We spent the afternoon at the park and then Walker wanted to read to Gramie before bed.  When I tried to correct him by saying, "You mean you want Gramie to read to you?"  He said, "No - I will read to her." And that's just what he did... read a book to her from memory. Amazing.

Our first walk up the canyon...

We've been back in Utah for three days!  Everyone is so happy to have the family back together. Yesterday was Memorial Day, so we took a walk up and down the canyon that heads out of Cedar City towards Cedar Breaks. We also stopped at a park for a picnic. Later in the day, Walker and I went to the city park for a Cancer fundraiser being held out on the grass. Bounce houses and popcorn were a great way to wrap up the afternoon.

I saw this flag flapping in front of the red rock and snapped a pic.
Happy Memorial Day all.

Charlie and Katherine

The last two days have been full of final therapy appointments before we join Jack in Utah for a spell.  I snapped these photos of Katherine (our service coordinator) and Charlie during yesterday's session.  Charlie was in a chatty mood and was so relaxed in her arms. They read books and practiced some fine motor stuff.  Charlie is clearly in love.

Lightsaber

While Walker was in school, Charlie and I played a bit and attended two therapy sessions.  All of his therapists were handing me work sheets and home work on my way out the door to Utah.  We're so lucky to have such amazing people in our court. Here is a pic of Charlie showing off his amazing propping-up skills. He's even using that back leg as a counter weight! Go Charlie!

I've recently met some AMAZING women through my boot camp class and we've become quick friends. Today, we all met up for a playdate. Most of the older kids played outside in the sprinklers with water guns and a slip and slide. When I asked Walker to fetch Charlie something appropriate to play with, he came hurring back with a lightsaber and announced, "If he wants to play with the big boys, he needs to learn to use this!"

Here's Walker with some kind of a semi-automatic style water cannon.

Last Day of School

And Natalie had a great idea (in the comments below) to post Walker's first day of school photo.  So here it is!!

Take to the Floor

No explanation necessary.
Just a couple of brothers rolling around on the floor.
