First Day of School

It's been a big day in the Greenman house!  Today is Walker's first day of school.  He was, of course, very excited to show off his new book bag, which was provided by his school.  When we arrived at school he noted that "all the kids have the same bag!"  Very cool.  Here's our baby off to his first day of preschool.

Dancing!

"What's this folder for?"

Daddy and Walker both have school bags!

Walker was met at his classroom door by his teacher, Ms. Carolyn.  She asked him to find the name tag with his name.  He did this promptly and was instructed to hang his book bag on the hook with his name, which he also did promptly.  Then he turned to me, saluted (military style) and said "See you later Mom."  Ms. Carolyn gave me the thumbs up and a smile and I took that as my cue to leave.  I couldn't do so, however, without taking a few photographs on my way out.  Here is Walker getting busy in his classroom.

I returned home to find Charlie and Pa John on our
front porch enjoying the beautiful weather!

Clearly you have provided the kind of conversation, exploration and pre-pre-school support that gives Walker the confidence to take it on! HUGE transition for everyone - ah, the school years! :-) Great photos and the 'book bag boys' photo is a classic. So glad you had Pa John there to be with Charlie as well as reflect on first school days! xoxoxo

Looks like he's already loving his new school. How is it that our boys are preschool age already? Wasn't it just a few month ago they were taking their first wobbly steps?!
