Family Night

This evening, Martha and Kellen took the lead in the kitchen so that Jack and I could spend an evening outside with the boys. Weather was in the 80s today, which is crazy because two weeks ago we hit 24 degrees. This is one of the marvelous things about co-housing: when our minds are not multi-tasking dinner and homework and emails and kids and baths and bedtimes, when all hands are on deck, when four adults turn their attention towards evening household tasks, we can open ourselves to the present moment and be truly together. We can receive each other as we are. \

I'm so grateful for this new way of living. It takes a lot more planning and communicating, but oh my oh my, it's so worth it. Here's a taste of our evening.

At the Park

The snow is gone and today's temps reached into the mid 60s. We're happy for a sunny day and an afternoon at a favorite park. Here are some shots we snapped in between swinging, snacking and running around.
