Boo. We knew it wouldn't last. But now that its here, we're sad and wishing, as always, for more time together. We've spent the last two evenings enjoying dinner out on the town and dinner in at home with culinary wonderment provided courtesy of Uncle Joel. Today, we hung out and watched Walker and Mackey play and sleep. It was a low key afternoon of TV, food and giggles. A perfect kind of day in which not much happens. Joel finished scraping, sanding and gluing back together my funky end table. I'll seal, prime and paint it this weekend. Here's Walker enjoying Joel's handiwork.
Joel and Walker enjoyed some good old fashioned canoodling.
More canoodling.
...and don't forget Miss Mackey. She LOVED Joel and Sam!
Watching trains on You Tube is fascinating stuff!
And say it ain't so... Joel and Sam heading into the airport for their evening flight home to Chicago. We'll miss you so much!
Its been a very exciting couple of days for Walker because his Uncle Joel and Sam are visiting Dallas from Chicago! Today, after a trip to the park, we met Jack for lunch at a famous Dallas burger joint and Walker enjoyed his first onion ring, which he pronounced to be "Very good".
During naps, Joel was coerced into refinishing a piece of furniture. I bribed him with cake balls. Works every time! Soon, the kids were up and we all convened in Walker's bedroom to play Legos. All in all, a very cool day! Tonight, Walker has a babysitter (his favorite, Abbey) while we four head off to enjoy dinner and drinks Texas style!
Grandma Happy sent this camera for Walker and he has since been snapping "photos" left and right. He snuck up on my the other day like a professional photo-journalist and I was able to capture him capturing me! Too much fun!
This morning was cold and rainy, but we were not deterred. Despite the weather, the Greenmans headed out for a family date! First stop, Walker's favorite playground and a ride on the handicap accessible swing. Good stuff.
And a quick self portrait...
After the park, we headed downtown for a trip on the McKinney Trolley, again. This is a no-fail treat for us all. Here is walker waiting for the trolley and enjoying a quick juice box.
After a yummy lunch at Village Burger Bar, we stopped in at the local bookstore something new to read. Here is Walker on the way home looking over his new title. Get ready kiddo, because we are DONE changing your diapers!
