Atlanta - Day Two

We spent the morning with Kevin Robison - one of our beloved groomsmen and dear friends - and I am sorry to report that I didn't take one singe photo.  That's how it goes with Kevin.  You start talking and then, BAM - three hours have sped by.  We also met Kevin's beautiful partner Keith and had lunch together at the Highland Bakery in Atlanta.  After lunch, we headed to the famous Georgia Aquarium!  Here are some highlights:

That huge fish up there is a whale shark.

And the largest Manta Ray in captivity.

For our last night in Atlanta, the cousins took the boys so Jack and I could have a night on the town.  We went to the Buckhead Diner for one of the most fantastic meals I've had recently.  The food was AMAZING and the atmosphere was super cool.  And the best part - time with Jack.

The best dirty martini EVER!

Arrive in Atlanta - Day One

We arrived Sunday night in Atlanta and continued on to Lawrenceville where we stayed with my cousins, Cindy and Lenny.  Both Lena and TL were home for spring break, but we missed Cady, whose break isn't until next week.  For our first day in Atlanta, we headed to the west side to meet a friend of mine from my blogging circle.  Jenny from a blog called My Favorite and My Best met us at a great cafe called Star Provisions.  Here are some shots of our morning:

This is a wicked-good smore's cupcake.

Jenny and Walker pretending that there is a snake-pit at the bottom of the stairs.

After our time with Jenny, we headed home to the cousins' house for a nap - although, someone wasn't interested in napping.  So I took photos of him instead:

After naps, we went to a neighborhood park where we could soak up the gorgeous weather.

After our park outing we returned to the house for dinner with the family!  Roll call: cousin Cindy and her husband Lenny, their kids Lena and TL, cousin Jennifer (Cindy's sister), her kids Maycen and Mackalie (I know I'm spelling those wrong) and Jennifer's boyfriend, Jeff.

Botanical Garden in Birmingham, Alabama

On day two of our trip, we left Jackson, Mississippi, where we had stayed overnight, and headed for the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham, Alabama.  This was the conversation in the car:

Walker:  Where did we sleep last night?
Mommy: In Jackson.
Walker:  My friend, Jackson?
Mommy: No, honey, Jackson, Mississippi.
Walker:  What about Mr. Sippy?
Mommy:  What?
Walker: There's Mrs. Sippy.  What about Mr. Sippy?

Walker is HAPPY to be out of the car!

These are the kinds of smiles that we see now post-Phenobarbital.

Walker found a seat.

Love all these Southern climbers.

Walker likes to push Charlie's stroller!
