We've been staying in Seattle with my darling home town friend, Harmony, her husband Mike and their son Seth. Walker and Seth were fast friends and Walker especially likes Seth's new summer toy - a trampoline!

Playtime in Portland

The boys have just had two big play days in Portland, Oregon. We've been staying with Scott Dunmire and his family in Tualatin. Scott and Jack were college roommates at PLU in Tacoma, WA. We spent our first day together at the Portland Zoo where Walker and Scott's son, Jack (6 years old), enjoyed seeing all of the animals. Yesterday, we went to a park called Harper's Playground that was built for children with mobility issues and Charlie had a wonderful time on the swings. We were joined by Chris and Anne Viola-Krause and their daughter Amaya. Such fun!

Al Fresco at Karen's

The other night, we spent the evening with Karen on her beautiful property in Richland, OR. She cooked up some of her delicious grass-fed lamb and paired it with salads made fresh from her garden!  The boys enjoyed the chickens and sheep dogs and Jack and I enjoyed the lovely company and yummy food!

On a Horse and Ropin'

Today, Walker had an opportunity to visit the Forsea ranch and take his first ride on a horse! Walker was loose and relaxed on the horse and Dan called hime a "natural". When Dan and Walker were finished with Willy, the horse, Dan showed Walker how to use the lasso for roping. He was a great teacher, and Walker an attentive student. Walker got it to work on the fourth try! Amazing. This was an experience that will stay with Waker for the rest of his life.  So cool!
