Today, Pa John accompanied me and the boys to Zion National Park while Jack was at work. Even after being rained upon quite a bit and having to turn back from the wheel chair accesible trail due to a rock slide, we all agreed that it was a wonderful time. Pa John was going to stay through Mother's Day but went home early to attend an audition. Good luck Pa John! Here are some photos from the day...

Vegas Baby
The family has been apart for a little while - Jack with Walker on a car trip to the Grand Canyon and Sarah in Dallas with Charlie while she closed "Picnic" at the Sanders Theater. Now we've reunited in Las Vegas. Jack was brilliant and booked us a night at the Mandalay Bay. The last 20 hours have been the most relaxed of the year. We swam in the "bay", which is really an enormous wave pool surrounded by sand. We ordered room service, put the boys to bed, drank wine and watched an Antiques Roadshow marathon. This morning, Charlie was up at 3:45am... but no matter. He was cuddly and happy to relax in bed with Mama. We head to Cedar City in a few hours and Jack reports to the Shakespeare Festival tomorrow. Summer is here for the Greenman Four!

Morning with Charlie
Charlie and I spent about 30 minutes rolling around in bed this morning. Charlie was in a playful mood - a common occurrence for him. He's playing all sorts of mimicking games these days. Here's the blow by blow:
I was excited to see the camera...
Then I caught sight of the moving light fixture...
Then I tried to get up on a cushy mattress - harder than it looks...
Then I got up on my hands and knees - again, harder than it looks...
Then I balanced on my good hand - hey, you try this move with out an in tact Corpus Collosum!
Then I gave in to gravity because I was exhausted...
Then I was upside-down...
Then I clapped for myself, because hey - who doesn't need a little praise now and then?
Then I wanted to touch the camera...
Then I spent some time touching my toes...
Then I was upset for no apparent reason...
Then I got better...
Then Mama made a funny joke...
But then I fell over and bonked my head on Mama's knee...
Then I wanted to do more.
