Getting Around

Walker's two favorite forms of transportation: Daddy's shoulders and the stroller.

Party Time!

We enjoyed a wonderful birthday party today with all of Walker's buds. We played, sang, enjoyed some mini cupcakes and fed the ducks! Thank you to EVERYONE who came and celebrated with us!

Walker is TWO today!

Can you believe it? Two years old. Who let that happen? We've spent the week at home with Mackey enjoying the beautiful fall weather. Mackey has hit that lovely stage where she grabs and pulls hair and pinches skin. Walker also went through this phase at about 7 months old. I think I still have a few scars. Well, he's getting payback now, because Mackey LOVES to grab his hair and squeeze his cheeks.

Walker decides to keep his distance and read Mackey a book.

No more crib!

I picked up this great "sit and stand" double stroller second hand from a girlfriend! We took our new rig on her maiden voyage this Wednesday and both Mackey and Walker enjoyed their new stroller! Walker calls it Mackey's car.

Walker spent the morning with our play group while I headed to Cecilia's for some postpartum work. Here I am with baby Gavin, now almost eight weeks old!
After a failed napping attempt by Mr. Walker, we met the Smith's at a park for some playtime. The weather was perfect today and Walker loved crunching all the brown leaves beneath his feet.
Walker accosted these two girls and tried to talk the gal on the right out of a few Cheetos (or whatever was in her little snack bag). Here he is walking away after a pretty solid rejection. I love the look on their faces as he turned away.
And here's Walker getting ready for bed. Tonight was a landmark evening. Ever since Jack left town, Walker has been climbing out of his crib with ease and dexterity. So, tonight is Walker's first night in the twin "big-boy" bed. I explained to him that we were switching beds and he seemed to understand. I put him down about an hour and a half ago and I haven't heard a peep. He hasn't climbed out of bed and he seems to be perfectly at home in his new digs! So cross your fingers. I hope it continues.

Remember when...

Remember this photo from the other day?

Well, Betsy sent this to me and I thought I'd share. Isn't it great? Jack and Gil sporting their own orange fashions in front of the bricks on the back patio.
