Walker and I have always been good buds. Sure, there have been moments when he was unhappy with me, but they always passed quickly because frankly, he was a baby. But today - really for the first time - Walker was mad at me. I was feeding Mackey a bottle and he was not happy that I wouldn't let him try some of her milk. I tried to explain to him that Mackey's milk was precious stuff and there was only so much of it. I tried to explain that if Mackey's mama were to sell her breast milk to a milk bank, she could get 16 dollars an ounce! For some reason, none of this mattered to Walker. He was mad because Mackey was doing something he couldn't and to top it all off, this feeding thing required all of Walker's mama's attention. Double whammy. Don't worry... we're friends again. I snapped this shot of Mr. Pout after he stomped off to the corner. "Fine", he seems to say, "I'm going to go sit in a pile of blocks."

As a peace offering, Mackey let Walker sit in her infant car seat.

First day back to work.

Daddy is back to work at SMU! I can't believe that this will be Jack's third year at SMU. Amazing. Today also marks my first day of work! Walker and I are watching Miss Mackey part time. Walker is thrilled. He has spent the whole day playing with Mackey, entertaining Mackey and telling me to be "careful!" when I get near her or hold her. He's a great baby sitter!

At Long Last - Our Summer Trip

Finally, we have retrieved the photos from our memory card. Now, photos of our summer vacation can commence. Since there are so many, we'll post them over the course of the next few days. The first leg of the journey was Dallas to Boston by plane. Aunt B and Linda met us at the airport and on the way to their home, I snapped this fabulous photo of B and Walker in the back seat.

Jack had a birthday while we were in Boston. Grandpa John (aka Papa) surprised us all by taking the train from Virginia to Boston. Here are some shots of Papa and Walker playing in Minute Man Park.
Papa, Jack, Walker and Sarah all headed down town for a tour of Boston by Trolley. We also stopped at Boston Common in the public gardens to see the ducks. Here is Walker on a statue of Mrs. Mallard from "Make Way For Ducklings" by Robert McClosky which takes place in Boston.

Today, Walker and I joined our play group for a gymnastics class! Walker was in heaven. He loved not only the gym and all the cool padded gear, but also the structure of the class and the teacher. I grabbed a disposable camera which is yet to be processed - so until then I'm getting sneaky. Here are some photos that another Mama took on her iPhone and uploaded to Facebook.
