Run Walker Run

Walker participated in his school's fun run today. It was a one mile run and he rocked it by running almost the entire time! So proud of this boy.

All smiles after the race!

And here he is celebrating his hard work with his 3rd grade teacher, Ms. Ashley Jones.

Sketch Artist

Walker has just become interested in sketching from the illustrations he sees in books and on cartoons. Here he is during class last week sketching the head of a dinosaur.

Charlie the Music Man

Charlie loves taking a quick stroll through the Skyview school garden after pick up. His favorite thing to do is play the outdoor instruments. But he particularly loves the Xylophone. And it continues when we get home. He always wants a few minutes at the keys. He's just started Music Therapy this months and it seems to be going really well. He's our little music man.

Spring Break 2017

The boys, Jack, and I had a lovely spring break. Walker and I kicked off our week with a trip to see Cirque du Soleil. Then Jack and I took the boys to Great Wolf Lodge for some serious fun in their water park. We also had some nice quiet days, just enjoying our time at home. Walker tried out the pool at our apartment by jumping in - whole-hog, but it was WAY too cold. Here are some snap shots from the week.

Scout Sunday

This weekend at First Unitarian in Dallas, Walker's cub scout pack was honored during the service. The boys also served as ushers for the service. Afterwards, we all went out for pizza and a hike around White Rock Lake. Walker is having a blast with his cub scout pack. The other cool thing to note about pack 1899 is that they are the first openly gay and trans inclusive pack in the country!

And just for fun, here's Jack's Boy Scout portrait from ca. 1972, age 8.
