Today, Jack's rehearsal schedule only required that he attend an evening run-through, so we took off for an afternoon hike in Kolob Canyon. Walker did an amazing job and did very little complaining about the heat and the hike. Charlie hung out happily in his baby pack and Jack and I enjoyed the gorgeous vistas and the stiff mountain breeze. Here are some of the photos from our day:

Afternoon at the Pool
Walker has been enjoying his swim classes so much that we headed back to the pool this afternoon for a two-hour dip. I wish I could have snapped some photos of Charlie in the water - he loves it so much. We did some of our aquatherapy, which is helping Charlie to strengthen those core muscles! He loves sitting upright in the water because of the resistance against his body - when he starts to fall, its in slow motion because of the water and he has a chance to engage his abs and stay upright. Its awesome. Walker was a whirl wind of splashing and sliding. No doubt that I have a couple of water babies on my hands. Here's a shot of Charlie after his "swim". And a few of Walker too!

While Mommy was in Zion
Four days in Zion for Mommy was amazing! Meanwhile back in Cedar City, Grammie Betsy and Daddy were busy busy busy with Charlie and Walker. It looks like a good time was had by all.

Walker had fun on Grammie's iPhone and taught Charlie it's special magic.
And there was even a day trip to Cedar Breaks!
And here is the video that Mommy made for her blog, Smaller Sarah.
Thank you Jack and Betsy for giving me the amazing gift of TIME!

Charlie at 22 Months Old
Charlie is 22 months as of yesterday, so we thought we'd do a little photo shoot! Here's our happy, cuddle bug with big grins and a healthy glow. This is the same boy who suffered a massive stroke, survived major cranio-facial surgery and is fighting with everything he's got to surmount the obstacles presented by his Cerebral Palsy. I love these snap shots of our little Wonder Boy giggling on an apartment floor in Cedar City, Utah in the summer on 2012. Take it away, Charlie!
