Grandma Patty and Charlie Meet!

When Charlie was a few months old, John and Patty planned a visit to Dallas to meet Charlie.  Unfortunately, Grandma Patty was unable to come because her mother was ill.  Now Patty's mother is doing well and Patty has an opportunity to meet Charlie!

Today, we spent the morning out and about in Uptown Dallas.
Here we are waiting for the M Street Trolley!

And one very excited Walker Starr.

Fun With Grandpa John and Grandma Patty

So much fun to have the Virginian grandparents in town!  Yesterday we all enjoyed the beautiful weather at the Arboretum, where the Dallas Blooms Festival is in full swing.

This spring at the Arboretum, they've constructed miniature artist's homes.
Below of course is the home of Monet.

...and Picasso, of course.

...and George Seurat.
You can see Walker in the doorway!

Charlie enjoyed himself as well.

We stopped for a picnic at the amphitheater where Walker ran up and down the hill a few times.

And finally, a yummy lunch in the red wagon with Daddy!

(I accidentally posted this to my Smaller Sarah blog earlier today.  I meant for it to go HERE!)

So Happy Together

We just finished a wonderful 6 days with Grandma Happy.  It was so wonderful that I didn't even think to pull out my camera until today.  Time flies when you're having fun.  We spent the afternoon outside on our back patio and Walker decided to wear his birthday suit since the weather was so lovely.  Mom, it was so great to have you here.  Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything!

Ice Cream Therapy

Ice cream and therapy are often one in the same.
Walker chose a mint chip cone to enjoy lake-side.

And here are two quick shots of Charlie's most recent therapy session with Cyndi at Our Children's House at Baylor.  She's working on core strength for sitting and bearing weight on all fours.

Weekend Fun

Walker and I began the weekend at his school on Saturday morning.  His preschool had a volunteer work day to clean up the school and do some light construction and painting projects.  There was a pancake feed to kick it off and I volunteered in the kitchen, while Walker enjoyed the fare!

By Sunday, Charlie's quick sick bout was over (he'd been out of commission for two days) so we took a kite to the neighborhood elementary school.  Walker flew that thing like a champ and sang "Let's Go Fly a Kite" from Mary Poppins!  So much fun.

I walked away for one minute...

It's amazing how fast a four year old can unload every basket in his playroom.
