Christmas Morning

Here are some postcards of Christmas morning on the farm!

Time to feed the Quails!

And the traditional Christmas morning burn pile.

...and a spin on the tractor! Yee-haw!

Here is a quick video of Walker at the wheel:

Postcards from the Farm

We arrived at Happy's farm only 48 hours ago, but weve made very good use of our time in this winter wonderland. Our first morning, we awoke to fresh snowfall. Walker's first real encounter with snow!

Of course, eating it is the first logical move.

Happy and Papa Obbie gave their wood shed a face lift this fall! Doesn't it look great?

Throwing the snow is the second logical move.

Soon, neighbor Dan was out in the dormant hay field to feed the cattle. Walker was really pumped about watching the tractor in action!

Dan stopped and came over to the fence...

...grabbed our little snow bunny...

..and took him for a spin! Walker was in HEAVEN!

Day two started with a trip to neighbor Karen's sheep ranch for a visit. Walker made friends with the chickens, the sheep dogs and the sheep!

Happy Christmas indeed. More to come...

Early Christmas

It's Friday, and you know what that means! Play day with our play group! Today one of our sister-friends hosted a pajama brunch at her home so that the kiddos could wear their Christmas PJs. It was a blast. Here's our little elf all hyped up on Christmas cupcakes.

Walker and Mosely share a duet.

Walker and James Charles share a duet.

Lucy and Gabriel digging into the cupcakes - well, Gabriel isn't really into white creamy yummy things that look like milk, so he opted for some time with the toy school bus.

Emmawyn and Evy make quick use of their Christmas treats.

Walker was super excited about the cupcakes - he wanted to know when we were going to sing "Happy Birthday".
And, of course, Walker already eye-ing the other guy's cupcake even before he has finished his own.

James Charles better finish that cupcake because now Lily is honing in on the goodies. Walker's got competition.

And crashed out in the car not five minutes from the party.

Because of travel plans, Jack, Walker and I celebrated Christmas tonight! Some lovely packages showed up from Seattle, Williamsburg, Scotland and New Zealand! We made Marie Calendar's frozen turkey dinners and watched Walker open gifts. It was really wonderful.

Merry Merry Christmas All!
