On a Roll...

Charlie's loaner chair is now in our home for the next week as we learn to use it and cruise around. He was immediately at home in the chair, looked comfortable and even tried to push a wheel with his right hand.  At the very least, Charlie will be spinning circles!  Jack and I are both very encouraged and hopeful that this will open up a whole new world for Charlie. Mobility, autonomy and independence are SO important right now and in the future. This is a huge step for our sweet little man.  And lucky for him, he's got a big brother who is MORE than willing to lend a hand.

Back at the house, Walker wheeled Charlie into the bedroom for a book before nap time. What a wonderful big five year old brother!  I didn't really consider, when we first discussed the idea of a wheel chair, how much it would impact Walker's ability to interact with Charlie.  What a boon!

This is great! He looks like he's got a leg up on the world. He even looks more confident. Blessings!

Fabulous dosen't begin to say it! Love the enjoyment that Walker has in being part of the new mobility. You may even have to put a bell on this chair to keep track of him. (both Charlie and Walker being the 'him')

I think a bell is a brilliant idea!

He looks so happy! I love that it makes it easier for the boys to be together, too!
