Spoon Trick

We've had a few goofy days of playing at home with friends and playing outside with friends. Two key things seem to be happening: one, he is very interested in playing games that have rules and patterns. Two, he spends more and more time playing alone, flipping through books or constructing little scenes with his toys and dolls. Here's Walker "hiding" on the very unstable first shelf of his diaper table.

And here's our little cowboy at the mall with our DFW Area Moms playgroup. The only thing he liked more than climbing all all the plastic stuff was sneaking out to the stroller parking to check out the different sizes of buggy wheels.

And finally, this morning I handed Walker his spoon for breakfast and he used it! Usually he just chews the end or drums on the tray or lip syncs into the handle, but today he decided to be a full participant. Here is Walker's spoon trick caught on video. Yay Walker!

Wow! I love the careful turnover of the spoon as it reaches the mouth. To show you where my head is, I thought the spoon trick title would lead to a photo of all three of you with spoons on your noses! See you VERY soon.
