Winter Walk at White Rock

Charlie and I have been loving our walks at White Rock Lake. We see the water foul, listen to the loons, wave at cyclists, make duck sounds, point at the water and say "water", and sing while we walk. He's the best walking partner ever and the best part is that he always keeps the exact same pace as I do! 

Drum Fit with Charlie

Today, my friend and work-out guru, Malloy Cislo, opened her Drum Fit exercise class to our children. I brought Charlie along for the ride. He loved all the music and the noise. Best of all, he loved pounding on a big exercise ball with a drum stick. Fun for all!

Dedication Ceremony at First UU Dallas

Both of our boys were blessed as infants in Cayucos by Vena Norton. But now that we've landed at First UU in Dallas, Jack and I decided to have both boys dedicated in the church. This is not a baptism, but a commitment ceremony that takes place between the congregation and UU children. Walker and Charlie were dedicated on Sunday, December 18th.

We had Charlie's wheel chair ready to go, but when we offered it to him, he firmly said, "No" and rose to his feet. He wanted to walk! Here is a video of the ceremony for your enjoyment:

Green Screen Christmas Card

Walker's teacher at Hamilton Park took photos this week of each student in front of a green screen. She then created Christmas greeting cards from the photos. Here's Walker's card:
