Morning at the Park

Pa John is in town and I have the morning off,
so we took the boys to the city park for a picnic and some play time.

And here are some of Pa John's photos:

And just for fun, here is Joel at age 6 (1985?) in his karate uniform:

Police Dance Notations

Last week, Walker choreographed a dance and wanted to notate it in some way. It's called the Police Dance and here are the 5 steps that make up the moves of the dance. All his own creation. See if you can figure out what each move entails!

Standing Around

Charlie has been quite content these days
to stand propped up against furniture.

Walker's First Karate Class

I assured Walker that there was NO WAY on God's green earth that he would have to spar on his first day at Karate. Then... of course... he was asked to fight. Because the class had been underway for a few weeks, the other boys were ready to spar, so the teacher just threw Walker into the deep end. He did beautifully. A uniform is on it's way and Walker is excited to go back on Wednesday.

Adventure is Out There

The title of today's post comes from Pixar's film "Up". The Greenman Four have landed in Utah and already we're up and running. Jack and I have had three full days of rehearsal, meetings, fittings, etc. I just have this quick minute to dump a bunch of sweet photos from our journey from Dallas, TX to Tucumcari, NM to Flagstaff, AZ and Cedar City, UT. Sorry for such short narrative, but I've got to learn some lines.

Our first night was on Route 66 at the Blue Swallow Motel, whose claim to fame for
Walker is that it was used as inspiration for Pixar animators on the movie, "Cars".

Charlie enjoyed the old town Albuquerque town square.

Walker's favorite part were the cannons.

Walker walked with Mama through the old church courtyard and visited the gardens.
