A Time of Wonder

It's been a lovely and HOT couple of days here in Dallas.  As you can see from the photo below, the boys have been lulling around the house in various states of undress.  Here they are listening to Jack read one of Walker's favorite books, "A Time of Wonder".

Today, we headed to the park before the main heat of the day set in.  Walker was treated to a Pa John style swing session, which always includes going "really really high".  Walker loved it.

Then Walker and his grand dad found a rogue tennis ball and played a little racket-less tennis.

Oops...

...and then we laugh at ourselves.

In the afternoon, Charlie had some lap time with Pa John.

Both of these boys look like happy campers.

Then Walker awoke from his nap and got in on the canoodle-ing.

Walker couldn't be happier.  

Charlie couldn't be smiley-er.

Pa John has arrived from Scotland 

and is staying with us for the next three weeks!

Or, as Walker wished aloud, "Can he stay forever?"

Reunited with Old Friends

We had our old play group over for a little get together today.  Walker was initially thrilled to see everyone, hug and say hello.  Then, things took a turn and our three year old realized that everyone was here to play with his belongings.  He kind of freaked out and had a serious bout of the "mine mine mines".  Ugh.  Oh well.  He's three.  Tomorrow will be better.  Thanks everyone for coming!  Walker did have a marvelous time despite his tantrums.  Here's a look at the action:
