Jack had Monday evening off, so we took a drive west of Cedar City to visit the monument at Mountain Meadows. This is the site of a massacre in where on September 11, 1857, a hundred and twenty people traveling from Arkansas to California as part of the Fancher-Baker wagon train were brutally slaughtered by the local Mormon militia. Its a pretty gripping story.
Then we continued south west towards St. George and drove through Snow Canyon, a gorgeous expanse of white and pink cliffs which rise out of black basalt rock. Its all created by ancient lava flow. Just spectacular!
The following day, after Walker's swim class, we headed to library park for another round of free lunch and activities! Walker was so excited he couldn't sit down.
Bear crawl.
Time to tie up all the girls. This was Walker's idea. The ladies don't look impressed.
Walker's first crack at Simon Says.
We're one week away from leaving Cedar City! Jack's shows are already in previews and the audiences are, thus far, very pleased!
