Playing Catch-Up

Just getting some more photos posted from our trip in New England. Here is a self portrait of our little family in Middlebury, Vermont.

Below, Connie Greenman's home in Paxton, MA.

Below, the rectory in Gardner, MA inhabited by Jack at age three.

Ruth and Walker Hawley's home in Dummerston, VT.

Goofing around in our hotel in Brattleboro, VT.

Found this roadside farm on our way to
visit Walker and Ruth's grave site.

Walker Taft Hawley's church in Middlebury.
He was pastor here for 25 years.

A tour of the Ben and Jerry's ice cream factory. Walker got a free sample of "Imagine Whirled Peace" at the end of the tour, so we ran around the factory grounds to shake off our sugar rush.

Playing peek-a-boo with Daddy at a restaurant in Stowe, VT.

Uncle Richard pulled this AWESOME car out of his basement for Walker! This is how he spent most of our time with Richard and Annie Lou in Underhill, VT.

First day back to work.

Daddy is back to work at SMU! I can't believe that this will be Jack's third year at SMU. Amazing. Today also marks my first day of work! Walker and I are watching Miss Mackey part time. Walker is thrilled. He has spent the whole day playing with Mackey, entertaining Mackey and telling me to be "careful!" when I get near her or hold her. He's a great baby sitter!

At Long Last - Our Summer Trip

Finally, we have retrieved the photos from our memory card. Now, photos of our summer vacation can commence. Since there are so many, we'll post them over the course of the next few days. The first leg of the journey was Dallas to Boston by plane. Aunt B and Linda met us at the airport and on the way to their home, I snapped this fabulous photo of B and Walker in the back seat.

Jack had a birthday while we were in Boston. Grandpa John (aka Papa) surprised us all by taking the train from Virginia to Boston. Here are some shots of Papa and Walker playing in Minute Man Park.
Papa, Jack, Walker and Sarah all headed down town for a tour of Boston by Trolley. We also stopped at Boston Common in the public gardens to see the ducks. Here is Walker on a statue of Mrs. Mallard from "Make Way For Ducklings" by Robert McClosky which takes place in Boston.
I know the three dudes in front,
but I'm not sure about the big guy in back.
In front of the famous swan boats.
Papa, Jack and Walker in front of the State Building - a bronze depicting Civil War hero Robert Gould Shaw. (Sadly, I only remember him as Mathew Broderick's character in Glory.)
Walker on the high bar at park near Aunt B and Linda's home.
B, Walker and Linda reading on the couch.
Here's a video of Aunt B and Walker
in the kitchen discussing a beetle.

Mary Lou Greenman

Today, Walker and I joined our play group for a gymnastics class! Walker was in heaven. He loved not only the gym and all the cool padded gear, but also the structure of the class and the teacher. I grabbed a disposable camera which is yet to be processed - so until then I'm getting sneaky. Here are some photos that another Mama took on her iPhone and uploaded to Facebook. I stole them off of her online photo album. (Thanks, Valerie!)

Sneek Peek of Walker in Maine

Here are a few photos that were retrieved from our camera. Below: Linda, Walker and Sarah walking the dock on a misty day in Port Clyde.
