Happy 70th Birthday, Grammie Betsy!
Grammie Betsy is 70 years young today! Betsy, since Walker can't give you a squeeze in person, this will have to suffice. But don't worry... a real one is coming down the shoot in a few short days! Can't wait to see you! Hope it was a a beautiful day for you!

The S's of Wine Tasting
SNIP: Sam got a quick haircut before we
headed out for our day of wine tasting!
SPLASH: Walker can find a puddle anywhere!
High Fives
Joel and Sam have been working their tails off at SRT opening one show after another. So yesterday, the only time we could see them was for dinner. But we made the most of it! We had a beautiful meal at a French place in the Railroad District of Santa Rosa. The French food must have had an effect because we all started kissing!

Walker got a little punch drunk (it was way past his bedtime) so we caught him goofing around with Joel and giving high fives to anyone who would participate.

The Journeyman
We're now on day two in Santa Rosa with Joel, Sam and Happy. Walker has been the most fantastic traveler. He really knows how to adjust and roll with the punches. Here are a smattering of photos from our day. Walker also had his big shaggy hair cut today by Grammie Happy. He's lookin' pretty sharp now!

Surprise!
Surprise! Walker and I hopped a flight yesterday to San Francisco where we were met by Grandma Happy. We then drove North over the Golden Gate Bridge (Walker slept) to Santa Rosa where Uncle Joel is working at the Santa Rosa Summer Repertory Theater. Joel was thrilled to see Mom and so surprised to see Walker and I that he yelled out a beautifully timed obscenity! I loved it. We spent the evening at dinner and then Mom and I went to see "The Wedding Singer" (musical based on the Adam Sandler film) while Joel's girlfriend, the awesome and adorable Sam, watched Walker. We'll be here for the next few days, enjoying Joel and Sam's company and seeing their hard work as Props Master and Lighting Designer, respectively, at SRT. I'll keep updating W's blog as I can. Jack - I'm so sorry for the break in action. I know this is one of the main ways you stay abreast of our day. But I promise at lease one post every other day or so.
From Santa Rosa, W and I will travel North to Connie's farm in Oregon where we'll be through the 4th and my birthday, and then we'll start the second leg of our journey to Seattle to be with Grammie Betsy! I can't wait. So we'll see you on the road!

Happy Birthday, Uncle Joel
Hello again from Dallas! I'm feeling a little spread out today... Uncle Joel (who is 30 today!)l is working at a theater in Santa Rosa, CA. Jack is working at a theater in Cedar City, Utah. Dad is walking a German Shepherd on a shore in Scotland, Margie is awaiting a visa in Philadelphia, Mom and Obbie have just journeyed from their Oregon farm to Paso Robles. Betsy is in Seattle and Grandpa John Greenman in Virginia. Uncle Gil, Maura and the kids in DC and we're still battling the heat in Texas. Thirty is a BIG birthday and I wish we were all in one place to celebrate it.
Walker and I tried our best to be celebratory. We accomplished this by remaining in some form of water all day long! The Smiths were over again for a pool party. Ashley, thanks for the GREAT photos of Walker and I. They are priceless.

Here's a bath time video where Walker shares his new favorite word ("awesome") and a special message for Uncle Joel.
